MS4CR Internship Program
Overview
Under the framework of the Mathematical Sciences for Climate Resilience (MS4CR) program, launched in 2017 with the support of the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC), AIMS will be providing 100 internships in the field of climate change for promising AIMS students and alumni.
Internships may be hosted by any institution (public or private sector organisations) with vested interests in climate science and resilience. Interns will work on specific projects that are fully integrated into the work of the host institutions. The interns will also have an academic supervisor appointed by AIMS, who will make periodic visits to the host institution. Applicants must demonstrate how their research at AIMS is related to climate change and how the MS4CR internship will help them achieve their career aspirations.
Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. AIMS will contribute to a monthly stipend for all interns. The host institution will bear additional costs of hosting the intern, including internal supervision and mentoring, facilities and project expenses.
AIMS graduates interested in applying for any of the MS4CR Internship Opportunities should reach out to the AIMS Industry Initiative team.
Applications are now closed.
Institutions interested in hosting an MS4CR intern should send an expression of interest to: aims-ms4cr.internship@nexteinstein.org.
