Building dynamic feedback loops for fine-tuning of farmer agro-advisories
Host institution: ICRISAT / agCelerant-Senegal, Dakar
Supervisors: Pierre C. Sibiry Traore / Daniel Annerose
Project Description:
Many initiatives focus on the dissemination of agro-advisories and other technologies to smallholder farmers with the assumption that they influence actions and generate value. Much fewer attempt to harness the potential of mobile technologies to collect feedback for advisory and technological fine-tuning, or more generally to add value to indigenous knowledge and expertise. This internship will leverage the agCelerantTM smallholder value chain orchestration platform with digital vetting and bottom-up optimization processes, contributing to NADiRA and to the CASCAID 2.0 (CCAFS) project.
Expected outcome:
Indigenous knowledge and user feedback increase the relevance, targeting and value of agricultural business development services.
