Project Description: Inter-farm variability in management is the first determinant of yield variation in African smallholder agriculture, and strongly depends on household socio-economic features. This internship will exploit plot and household level data streamed by the agCelerantTM digital smallholder value chain orchestration platform to develop a workflow that automates the building of farm typologies, contributing to the CASCAID (CCAFS) and HEURISTICS (Habitus) projects.
  4. Expected outcome: Automation of farm type determination improves market segmentation, performance and compliance monitoring in smallholder value chains.
