Providing better telecommunications solutions for Africa
Mr Jonathan Kwame Doku, from Ghana graduated from AIMS Ghana in 2013 and is currently working at Itemate Solutions (a South African IT consultancy firm) as a Project Consultant. Itemate Solutions is a software company that offers quality services in telecommunications lifecycle management. The company deals with Serial Based Telecommunication Inventory Management and Point-of-Sales Systems. He has been assigned with Ghana’s telecommunication giant, MTN Ghana, to help implement the project in new and better ways.

“My role basically involves analysing the client’s upstream business processes with a view to enhancing them to improve the quality of data arriving on the system. I am also the liaison officer between the South African office and Ghana for ad-hoc reporting and streamlining of operations for the benefit of both parties.” Through the project he managed the rolling out of the first ever point-of-sales based system for MTN Ghana.
“At AIMS, I gained a lot of skills and important life experiences. For example, problem-solving, computing, research paper writing skills and the ability to understand issues which has contributed immensely to my success at Itemate Solutions.”
It was through the AIMS Industry Initiative program that he was given the opportunity to be a part of this project.
