Analyzing the impact of change in AMI management on in-hospital outcomes in STEMI or NSTEMI patients in Egypt – a secondary data analysis

  1. Project Description:

As of 2019, the AMI registry in Egypt has accumulated about 4,000 entries of patient information related to AMI. The dataset potentially reflects the impact of the change in AMI management through the course of the years on in-hospital outcomes. This study will conduct a secondary analyze to identify the association of change in management and in-hospital outcomes in ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) or Non-STEMI (NSTEMI) patients over time. Illuminating any changes can help identify the factors or areas for quality improvement intervention and reveal particular patterns of care that may be prevalent in Egypt.

2. Project Expected Outcomes:

The objectives of this study include the following:

  • To analyze the AMI registry dataset on the trend of pattern in-hospital outcomes in Egypt;
  • To identify the demographic factors associated with the AMI outcomes.
