AIMS Ghana Graduation 2017

The 2016/2017 academic year at AIMS Ghana began in August 2016 with a total number of 47 students from 19 African Countries, 18 females and 29 males, including 20 Ghanaians. All the students performed extraordinarily well and were awarded with a Master of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences. Seven of the students were exceptional in their work and they were awarded with the FKA Allotey Meritorious Award for their excellent performance. AIMS Ghana celebrated the graduation of 201 students since 2013. This is made up of 134 males and 67 females, including the graduating class of 2017.

The Centre received 33 international lecturers from prestigious universities from around the world to teach and supervise students’ project essays. The majority of students have been offered admission with full or partial scholarship to prestigious global universities to further their studies. 5 students (3 females and 2 males) have been offered scholarships to participate in the AIMS Industry Immersion programme in South Africa for 6 months. The training will be scaled towards equipping the students with the necessary business and entrepreneurship skills in addition to their mathematical and computational skills.
